The CX-5 is Mazda’s best-selling vehicle for good reason. It’s a perfect mix of space and versatility. The Mazda CX-50 doesn’t just add a zero to the end of the CX-5. It offers a longer, wider SUV experience while getting lower to the ground. This more athletic and aggressive SUV still seats up to five comfortably, with a bit more space to spread out. The CX-50 does share powertrains with the CX-5, with a base 187 horsepower engine and an available 256 horsepower turbocharged engine. One big difference is the towing between the models. The CX-5 can tow up to 2,000 lbs, while the more rugged CX-50 can tow up to 3,500 lbs. We know the 2025 CX-70 will offer two powertrains: a turbocharged gas engine that will provide up to 340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque and a Plug-In Hybrid model that will provide 26 miles of all-electric range. The 2024 CX-90 is Mazda’s largest and most spacious vehicle. This three-row SUV comfortably seats seven and provides 14.9 cubic feet of cargo space when all the seats are full. When you fold the third row, that increases to 40.0 cubic feet, and when all rows are down, you can expect to access 75.2 cubic feet of cargo space. The gas powertrain offers up to 340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Like the CX-70, the CX-90 also has a PHEV option that provides up to 26 miles of all-electric range.
