Mazda CX-70 vs CX-90: Two Rows or Three Rows in OKC

Mazda’s two largest crossovers share an engine and a platform, a Mazda CX-70 vs CX-90 is all about how many rows you need. Both run the e-SKYACTIV-G 3.3-liter turbocharged inline-six with standard i-ACTIV all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic. Both have also earned a 2026 IIHS Top Safety Pick+ and a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from NHTSA. The CX-70 seats five in two rows and spends the rest of that space on cargo. The CX-90 puts a third row back there instead, seating seven or eight. In our guide below, we’ll compare the powertrains, seating, cargo room, and pricing on both. Browse our new Mazda inventory and come see the two of them parked side by side at Bob Moore Mazda!

Seating and Cargo Space

Two rows in the CX-70 leave 39.6 cubic feet of cargo room behind the second row, opening to 75.3 cubic feet with those seats folded. Three rows in the CX-90 seat seven or eight, depending on whether you choose the bench or the captain’s chairs. Behind the third row, the CX-90 still holds 14.9 cubic feet, but up to 74.2 cubic feet behind the first row. Here’s a better visual representation of what each SUV offers

Interior: Mazda CX-70: Mazda CX-90:
